INTELLIGENT ULTRASOUND HELPING TO TRAINING CLINICIANS AT NHS NIGHTINGALE

Intelligent Ultrasound helping to train clinicians at NHS Nightingale

Intelligent Ultrasound is helping to rapidly train clinicians at the NHS Nightingale Hospital to perform lung ultrasounds.

The company's BodyWorks Point-of-Care Ultrasound Simulator (PoCUS) has been made available at the critical care unit set up at London's ExCel centre to treat Covid-19 patients.

Intelligent Ultrasound staff operating on-site are helping to train clinicians by running them through simulations.

The company said that lung ultrasound has the ability to manage Covid-19 related infection.

As well as the NHS Nightingale, the company has also remotely upgraded more than 30 of its BodyWorks PoCUS training simulators with the new training module in hospitals in the UK, US, Europe and Asia since the module’s launch last week.

"We've had our BodyWorks system upgraded today to include the wonderful new COVID-19 lung ultrasound module which will come in incredibly handy when upskilling our Intensive Care Unit teams in lung ultrasound," said Hannah Conway, advanced critical care practitioner at Glenfield Hospital Leicester.

The BodyWorks COVID-19 module is provided free of charge for all existing and new BodyWorks PoCUS customers during the global pandemic.
