Cardiff Medicentre is well-positioned to take advantage of the major road, air and rail transport links serving South Wales. In addition, the meath Park site is one of the main hospital sites in Cardiff - is very well served by the local bus services. Taxis are readily available and can be ordered through our reception by visitors making their return journey. 

By car

From the east:

Leave the M4 at Junction 29. Proceed along the A48(M) which becomes the A48. At the fourth exit, sign posted for University Hospital, take the slip road and turn right at the traffic lights at the top. Proceed across the bridge and at the roundabout, take the second exit. The sign-posted entrance to Cardiff Medicentre car park is the first turn on the right hand side.

From the west:

Leave the M4 at Junction 32. Take the fourth exit off the interchange sign posted for Cardiff A470 and proceed along the dual carriageway. Approaching the sixth set of traffic lights, move into the left hand lane, marked A48, and proceed to the roundabout beneath the flyover. At the roundabout, take the first exit sign-posted M4(E), Newport and University Hospital. Keeping left, immediately take the slip road sign-posted for University Hospital. At the junction, turn left passing The Dental School, Tenovus and the Heart Foundation buildings on the left. Go straight ahead to the end of the road.Turn right follow the road, passing trees on your left hand side, keep going until almost the end of the road.  Cardiff Medicentre is the last building on the left hand side, you will see a wide barriered entrance with a sign saying "Cardiff Medicente Entrance"  turn left into that entrance and press the intercom button to gain access.

Parking at Cardiff Medicentre

Visitor parking at the centre is limited and can not be guarenteed as priority is given to the Tenants and staff that trade at the centre.  There is a multi story car park within walking distance of the centre at the UHW. site. 


Cardiff Medicentre Reception is open between 08.30 and 16.30, Mondays to Fridays. Admission to the car park is not possible outside these hours.

By air

The nearest airport is Cardiff International Airport. Regular bus services run from this airport into Cardiff city centre. Taxis are also available for direct transportation to Cardiff Medicentre.

By bus

Bus services between the city centre and the University Hospital of Wales site run every 10 minutes during peak periods. Services that stop near Cardiff Medicentre include:

1, 2, 38, 39, 85, 101 and 102.

By train

The nearest train station is Heath High Level. Trains heading for Bargoed stop here en route from the mainline Cardiff Central station. The University Hospital of Wales site and Cardiff Medicentre are then approximately a 10 minutes’ walk.
